I am servicing a BCM 50 3.0 which I originally installed and programmed. It has T1/PRI with DID target lines.
i allowed them to forward individual telephones offsite using F4. I am using destination code 9, absorb all, rooute 001 no dial out, use PRI Block B (that is what the PRI is assigned to).
Target lines calls work correctly, and oubound calls work normally. if I setup Feature 4 to forward to my cell and call from another internal extension the call forwards normally. However, if I call into to a target line that's assigned to the phone or transfer from the auto attendant, the call does not forward. The caller hears a dialtone for a brief period and then times out.

This had been working ok and then stopped for no apparent reason. The customer rebooted system which did not imporve the problem but then discovered that another programming change had been lost. The AA stopped answering. we looked at F982 and toggled the "answer lines" off and then back on and then the AA started working again.

the orginal problem remains and i am looking for suggestions as to why this would have changed and what programming settings i might need to look at to restore forwarding.

Thanks

I've had this problem with IP PRI's before. Did you recently change PRI carriers? I found the problem to be that the carrier blocks the call because the BCM tries to 'forward' the caller ID of the original caller. The CO sees the caller ID in not a number assigned to the PRI and blocks the call. I called the carrier to explain the situaltion and they were always able to make a change to fix it.

No changes that i am aware of. Customer did move locations which could mean that a new T1 was built (even though it was supposed to be identical) same carrier. I am sure that the customer has been able to use this feature at the new location. It just stopped allowing the calls to go through about two weeks ago. As we all know it could be something implemented on the carrier side without out knowledge.

The reason I put the other symptom in the post is to show the erratic behavior of the BCM forgetting memory settings. OR showing they are correct when they are not.

Be sure you have the latest patches installed. The BCM50 had some issues with programming being lost after reboot.
