I just uprgraded a BCM50 from 3.0 to 5.0 without a hitch. The customer is to be getting SIP trunks, so their BCM will now be connected to their network via the LAN1 network port (of course).
We are having issues communicating with that port if it is connected to a network switch. If I connect straight to my laptop, we have NO issues.
If I go from the LAN1 port to a network switch, and have my laptop connected to the switch, we start to have issues. A ping returns approximately 20% of the requests. Due to it's minimal communications, I cannot talk to it via HTTP or Element Manager. This is going to be a problem to get the SIP working as well.
Again, straight to the laptop works lovely.
I have tried different cables, crossover, etc.
