I'm in charge of the phones in a retail store, and there are 7 of them, throughout the store. They are all a BCM50 phone, and all have the 8 buttons down each side, the right 8 of which we use for the different phones (and intercom). Most of them work as an "autodial" function so you can call someone at a different location. There are two that have some buttons that are set us as "answer" buttons, and I can't seem to switch them the normal way (Feature * 2).

I've been told to go into the Element Manager and pick an option I don't have (can't remember it now, something to do with lines). Does anyone know if this option doesn't exist because I need to update the Element Manager (Version 1.0.0 Build 524) and if so how I do that. Alternatively, do you know how to fix it through the phones themselves?

Feature *2 doesn't work. It just rings the phone that it "answer"s.

Thanks a lot! I didn't set the phones up, and I'm having some struggles in getting a grasp on the system with more intricate stuff like this.

you have to take the answer dn's off the phone under line programming. go to lines then answer dn and delete the answer dn from that ext. that will free up the button.

Hello!

Thanks! That was what I saw as a response before. I've included a screenshot of what my element manager looks like, and this is why I wonder if it's changed, I can't find that option.

Thanks so much. It's not the end of the world but it really detracts from the system I'm trying to set up. :)

go to sets, then active sets choose ext # click on line access then answer dn. remove ext's

Perfect. Thanks!

At the same time, shoot! That means I can't do what I want to do. *sigh. I won't take up more of your time though. :)

Have a superb day.
