I'm a total newbie when it comes to the BCM50 but the issue I'm having is we just moved to fiber service on our voice and data side.
We have a PRI with our carrier and when I attempt to forward calls to an outbound number, it rings fast busy.

From what I can see, the BCM is trying to pass inbound caller ID and the internal outbound number to the adtran and the adtran is rejecting the callout. I'm attempting to figure out how to only pass our internal main number on the call forward and not pass the callers cid info. the main line has an OLI of our primary outbound number. So bing a newbie to this system, how would I block the callers CID?

Running now. I'll post as soon as it's done. Thank you!

Thanks for that. I'm guessing that you are using the older "Nortel" version of Element Manager?. There should have been an option prior to collecting the data to change the file type from the default of HTML to excel.

Old everything. Like I said, the system hasn't been updated since 2009.

Your BCM has the following keycodes

Site Id/System Id : 00:24:00:0C:5E:DC
Sequence Number :
Associated System Id : NNTMHD00IY1V
Current Version Number : 3.0
Current Configured Feature(s):
Int Analog Sets : 4 units
Int Analog Trunk : 2 units
IP Client seat : 4 units
VM seat : 24 units
Meet Me : 4 units
Exp Port : 2 units
Int Digital Sets : 4 units

However after looking at your system patches, I would advise you to do a BCM backup onto your computer first and then update and install the latest and last released Nortel BCM 50 V3.0 patches, which are...

BCM50 3.0
==================================

PATCH ID: BCM050.R300.SU.System-270.201205 Category: GEN Reboot reqd
PATCH ID: BCM050.R300.SU.Desktop-265.201110 Category: GEN No reboot
PATCH ID: BCM50R3_FactoryImageUpgrade Category: GEN No reboot
PATCH ID: BCM050.R300.UBOOT-214 Category: GEN
PATCH ID: BCM050.R300.AMP-COLUMBIA-177 Category: LTD
PATCH ID: BCM050.R300.AMP-SOUTH-KOREA-149 Category: LTD
PATCH ID: BCM050.R300.SOFTWARE-MANAGEMENT-63 Category: GEN

From the list above, install the System patch 270 first. This will reboot the BCM afterwards. Do the desktop afterwards.

Contact me if you have problems obtaining these old patches. Not all of the above patches are needed, but usually the System and Desktop ones are required.

I personally don't think your problem is patch related, but you can rule it out by updating your system and rebooting it at the same time. If the problem still persists, then I would consider contacting your new PRI provider because this problem only ever started after you had swapped over and the BCM was fine before the change.

I have no access to obtain the patches. If you have a place I can obtain them that would be great.

Go into Admin/SoftwareMang/History and list the patches that are installed.
i.e. the name = System and the version = 022.XXX
i.e. the name = Desktop and the version = 005.XXX
We don't care about the X's/Date

I've spoke with the new PRI provider multiple times. According to them when we do debug on the adtran, the BCM is sending the wrong info to the adtran. It is sending the callers ANI information to the Adtran instead of our number. The Adtran then blocks the call thinking it's spoofing a call. I need the BCM to pass our information and not the origin call's ANI CID info.

I really feel like what I'm missing here is a simple setting to prevent the ani from being passed back to our adtran. I have a feeling that once it's figured out it's going to be one of those face palm moments....

From what I understand in reading posts there is no setting but the BCM is designed to forward it regardless.
It is the PRI carrier that turns this ON or OFF.
If OLI and Business Name are the only places to program outgoing info and they both do not contain your main number then the carrier is out to lunch....as usual.

The Monitor screenie 614 number you posted above, is that the number calling in or your number?

CurlyCord - It's the number I'm attempting to forward to.

Our main number is in the OLI field for each set and I added the 7 digit number to our business name field after reading one of your previous posts in this thread.

Sorry I did not see Firebirds post that already showed patches.

I would leave Business Name blank for now.
Just OLI under Sets as your main number will do (as you have it).

Try this link which won't be there for very long to see if you can download the BCM 3.0 patches.

ftp://BCM50_R3_0_Patches:BCM50_R3_0_Patches@81.153.29.29

It should work and ONLY download the patches mentioned in my last post which are

BCM50 3.0
==================================

PATCH ID: BCM050.R300.SU.System-270.201205 Category: GEN Reboot reqd
PATCH ID: BCM050.R300.SU.Desktop-265.201110 Category: GEN No reboot needed
PATCH ID: BCM50R3_FactoryImageUpgrade Category: GEN No reboot needed
PATCH ID: BCM050.R300.UBOOT-214 Category: GEN Reboot?
PATCH ID: BCM050.R300.SOFTWARE-MANAGEMENT-63 Category: GEN Might not be reqd!

You can schedule the system patch to reboot the BCM out of hours. Make sure you do the system patch first!.

CurlyCord - We have quite a few DID's on our PRI and on the BCM

FirebirdScrambler - Downloading now. Thank you again!!!

No worries EKirsch. That would explain why my BCM50 upgrade is taking a while to complete over the internet.

Remember to unzip the files before you try to install them. Just navigate to where you have placed them. I tend to put all my patches in the "files" folder where Element Manager is located as the default path tends to start there.

Good luck with installing them. Don't bother with installing the factory image patch as your BCM came from the factory already with release 3.0 software installed.

Just got off the phone with wow and they told me they can not change the numbers at the adtran. The bcm is pushing the original callers ANI instead of our BTN. I spoke with someone else quickly about this issue (waiting on a callback) and he stated this could be changed on my end under target lines. Anyone have any ideas what he was attempting to get at? Looks like he's going to be tied up for a while on something else and I need to get this fixed ASAP as we are a medical office and need 24/7 support so these phones need forwarded to our answering services.

Target lines are used for the conversion of incoming digits such as DID numbers and they are tagged with public (exchange lines) or private (Inter switchboard links) extension numbers.

They are also used to handle "fixed" PBX numbers whereby the main number that a caller uses is incoming across a number of PRI trunks.

In the UK, and on SIP circuits, we would need to assign a target line in certain cases to allow calls tagged with a specific CLID to go to an extension or voicemail etc.

What I tend to do is to use the target line range at the beginning to only route DID numbers to extensions etc and start from the end backwards, to add in dedicated numbers so that it's easy to follow.

Some people work differently, but you might need to add in the main incoming number against a particular target line so that the BCM is able to route it. I'm only guessing as your problem has only happened since you changed providers.

Target lines only show the programmed received digits. There's no settings under target lines to control the outgoing number.

I just had a thought. This might be inconvenient, but you could try disabling the forwarded phone as a caller ID set to see if that allows your OLI to be sent out.
