Hello

We have a bm50 phone system and a door entry phone with a BT decal on it.

I have called bt business, the isdn peeps and the bcm50 helpdesk and no one can tell me how to change the door code.

Help please! :)

Door codes default 6) are controlled by the D.O.C. - Door Opening Controller via it's dip switches.
This is a separate device on the wall.

Download the DOC Guide here

Lovely, thanks. Do you mean its inside the cover of the code entry box .. or connected to it somehow ..

cool. looks like tiny alun/grub screw underneath. i'll bring in a presc driver set tomorrow to get at it. in the meantime is it worth me putting a pic of the unit in here ? to make sure we're talking about the same beast?

Yes because what you describe makes no sense....but you are English!
LOL

Just google/images Norstar DOC, first few images show small square grey box.

It might be possible you have a 3rd party Door Phone that uses a Trunk port and has it's own controller.

Well at first I thought is was a BST Door phone with their logo.

That is the Door Phone itself and not the controller.

Normal wiring setup:
KSU/BCM 1 pair to Controller - (both in phone room)
Controller 2 pairs (24 volt and signal) to Door Phone
Door Phone 1pair (24 volts) to Door Strike

BST Door Phone uses digital signal just like a phone set

Analog Door Phone uses a Trunk or Analog port.

The Controller might be built in to the Analog Door Phone

Best to get the part number somehow, I tried to search via image but your picture turned up with a rainbow right smack in the middle so 1 couldn't do that.

Firebird might drop by soon whom is familiar and worked for BT, perhaps he knows this particular one, seems BT made a few.
