BCM50 Disconnects Analogue Line Randomly

Hello,

I have a BCM50 Rel3, we have both BT and Virgin Media analogue lines, for some reason, the virgin media line disconnects randomly. Its only really just happened and BT line is fine. Nothing has been changed. We have checked the line without plugged into bcm and works fine, so something wrong and cannot figure it out.

Can anyone help me here please?

Are your lines loop or earth calling?. You might want to reverse the wires in case it's a polarity problem.

Also check in the Alarm table to see if the disconnects have been recorded.

Hi wires are fine, not sure what it is, the lines both bt and virgin one are setup as lopp ungarded. Im sure its something with virgin and the bcm50, like a setting needs to match.
 
sorry U said they where setup as ungarded and they are guarded.

Bt lines if provided should be set as loopgarded on the BCM50 and the BT exchange disconnect clear time set as 500ms.

This allows for supervised disconnect on voicemail to clear properly.

If set to loop UNgarded then the lines dont clear properly from the BCM voicemail and lock for a few seconds before clearing down.

so in short:
BT exchange setting 500ms-----BCM50 loopgarded.(preferred option
BT exchange setting 800ms-----BCM50 LoopUNgarded(no voicemail used)
