BCM50 Caller ID failure

We have a BCM50 and 8x16 expansion module with analog lines coming in and Rel 6.0 installed. It seems that for two years Caller ID has always been an intermittent problem, but far more so now. Here's what we know after lots of testing:
[ul]
[li]CLID is recognized 100% of the time on all lines at the DMARC (not a single failure).[/li]
[li]Failure only occurs on the 2 lines that appear on the desk phones and are also output to analog devices.[/li]
[li]Failure occurs on about 30% of calls. When it happens, nothing appears on the desk phones or on the analog output port.[/li]
[li]Failure still occurs when no devices are connected to the analog output port.[/li]
[/ul]
Of course this seems to be a problem with the BCM50's handling of lines output to both phones and an analog port. But from threads I'm reading it seems that all these intermittent CLID problems were resolved in previous release updates and patches (we're on Release 6). IS ANYONE OUT THERE STILL SEEING THIS PROBLEM?

Another question...
The failures are far more frequent on calls from local cell phones than local land lines (over 2:1), so we suspect some of the problem might be a delay in the Caller ID signal from the CO (not within spec: 0.5-1.5sec after end of first ring). What equipment is required to test the timing and quality of the CLID signal from the CO?

Rls 6 is just release of software, its needs patching too!
What is the names of the latest patches on your system?

Caller ID not support on analog devices (ATA's) connected to the BCM.
Caller ID is sent between the first and second ring so if it rings only once and they pick it up then 50% of the time they will not get caller id.
Makes sure AA is told to answer on 2 rings.

"Failure only occurs on the 2 lines that appear on the desk phones and are also output to analog devices."
-Is there some other lines that is does work? what do you mean ONLY?
-So the business has 2 lines and same 2 lines on each phone?
-You mean they ring to cordless phones?

Just throwing stuff out.

The CO tech installed 4 patches, but I'm not sure which ones. Can you advise?
Calls are not answered during our tests that show failure of CLID at the stations and on the analog lines, so AA is not the issue.
What do you mean that Caller ID is not supported on analog devices? The CO sold us the Nortel/Avaya BCM50 and 8x16 expansion, which included 4 analog output ports for the purpose of having CLID capability on analog phones connected to the analog line outputs.

Go into admin/software and look

"Calls are not answered during our tests that show failure of CLID at the stations and on the analog lines, so AA is not the issue."

Be very carefull with your wording, there are analog lines which are trunks/DIDs etc and then there is analog stations which are phones, fax etc.

I gather I have forgotten this and not just a ASM8 + required......oops!
Regardless make sure your testing is with digital sets.

Sorry, you are correct -- I meant there are 4 analog stations (outputs) from the BCM & Expansion. The only lines experiencing random CLID failure are the two incoming analog lines that appear both on the T7316E stations and the analog stations/ports. And when an incoming CLID fails, nothing appears on either the T7316E or analog stations. I'm beginning to suspect maybe the CLID signal is arriving late from the CO (more than 1.5sec after the end of the first ring) and the BCM doesn't have adequate time to process it, but I doubt the CO has the equipment necessary to check it.

Here are the patches that the CO installed:
2012.08-16 BCM050.R600.CORE-TELEPHONY 51-1 Update to CORE-TELEPHONY
2012.08-16 BCMOSO.R600.SU.System 012.201207-1 BCMSO R6 July 2012 System Smart Update
2012.08-16 BCM050.R600.VOICEMAIL 81-1 Update to VOICEMAIL
2012.08-16 BCM050.R600.RCC 54-1 Update toRCC
2012.08-16 BCM050.R600.SU.Desktop 003.201203-1 BCM50 R6March 2012Desktop Smart Update

So the System update is only one month older (July instead of August).
