I have been reading about lower versions of BCM that can have the PW reset.

Is it possible for the nnadmin PW to be reset or use the Passowrd of the Day.

I also saw a pot regarding the SUPERVISOR login. Is this possible if so what would the login be for the SUPERVISOR?

I checked and there are 0 Analog Trunks. I purchased an 8 Port GATM8 from Metroline. This client only wantto use 6 ports at this time for a 6 line hunt group.

So when the PRI is terminated in the expansion Bay do I just remove the PRI module and insert the GATM8 module and will the 8 Analog Ports activate automatically or do still need a keycode?

I am still alittle confused and I want to be fully prepared the day we D/C the PRI.

Just go into Telephony Resources under the Resources tab and change your expansion 1 module to a GATM8. Power the system off, plug in your new module (with the dip switches set properly) and power the system back on. You should then see the new analog trunks under active lines under the Lines tab.

You don't need additional licenses. The expansion license is already there supporting your existing PRI and the analog trunks are automatically licensed by way of the module.

Thanks again. I understand. I have worked on MICS for ever and I am getting use to the BCM which is why I have so may questions.

I see the dip switched 1-8 on the GATM8 module but I am not sure what thye are used for or how to set them.

COuld you explain why they are there and what they are used for?

Thank you!

You will need to leave the dip switch settings to default. DIP switch settings select the BUS number in older 4.0 and lower BCMs and also expansion cabinets on the BCM450.

The expansion cabinets of the BCM50 are automatically set to 5/6 and 7/8.

There is some Installation documentation available on the BCM50 itself (point a browser to the IP address of the unit). I suggest you look here as it will answer all your questions.

I am sorry there are only 6 dip switched and the first 5 are UP. The last on eis DOWN.

This is a BCM50 SW 2.0

On the GATM8 and the GASM8 there are two banks of switches at therear of trhe module.

As viewed from the rear, the bank on the left should be all on and the bank on the right should be all off when the module is being used in a BCM50.
