Hello!

I'm currently trying to remotely install (through Team.....) Element Manager or even LAN/CTE on a windows 7 32bit machine. When I attempted to install Element Manager a few times it would get to the install tab, but never complete? I look in the file directories and see that the files are installed? Is this a situation where I have to install Java on this machine first for either of these to work? LAN/CTE seems to complete requesting a reboot. Although I have not confirmed this as I am wanting to get in to change main password first. If I need Java since it probably needs an earlier version, is there somewhere "safe" to get it?

Java is required to install it from a Launch interface such as the BCM's web page or the now discontinued site, it is also required to run Element Manager so you will need to install it no matter what.

You can also download the actual file and install direct via this form

Check out the FAQ's for more such as the security MD5 references and creating a shortcut to run BEM.

This has been a fight. I'm not onsite. I've managed to use password of the day to get in to the unit, but unfortunately the file you sent me, I transfered to the machine onsite and it of course doesn't have Excel on it. I tried downloading an excel viewer to the site, but it doesn't allow me to change the IP address of the BCM to get that file to work with it to install element manager. I took pictures of the message I get on trying to install Element Manager and although the files seem to be in the appropriate folders, the install hangs at the installing point and never completes. On trying a different method I get to see what might be the error. There are files installed in the Java folder by the element manager install. Didn't know if I had to install Java first or if it's downloaded from the BCM 1.0 This is what I get on the different method of install:

Passwords have nothing to do with this.

Since they do not have excel then open the Excel on your PC, fill in their IP then copy the link you see and paste/type it into their browser.

It's a BCM50 1.0 and it's trying to be installed on a windows 7 machine.

I also checked this machine and Java 1.8.0_211 is installed, but will still not load Element Manager off of the site BCM50 1.0 platform.

Try this link of ftp://BCM_Element_Manager:BCM_Element_Manager@somertel.ddns.net

Look for the file called Business Element Manager v60.3.0.exe

This should work fine for you.
