BCM450 Voicemail stops working wont recover until you power cycle the unit

Have a BCM450 5.0 with all patches current.The voicemail stops working but still shows that its running the application.If you try to do a reboot it stays in limbo.The only way to get it to recover is to kill the power and then it will come back up.I have been told by Nortel/Avaya now to change out the power supply 1st to see if that resolves the issue.Anyone else ever have this issue?If so what was the fix?Appreciate any input.Thanks
 
As soon as I saw title of Thread I was going to recommend that.

Power supplies have been a huge issue and have fixed all kinds of weird issues for us.

Swap it then report back

Yes normally PS or the HD, is VM the only thing running on the HD or do you have IP sets and they stop working also?
