We recently upgraded a BCM400 to a BCM450 R5. There are a few BCM50 units on R1 tied via VoIP trunks to the BCM450. Voicemail and PRI trunking is centralized on the BCM450. Call routing works both from the PSTN and internal dialing. Users can access voicemail from any site.
Here is the problem. When a user on a phone off the BCM450 calls a user at a BCM50 and the call attempts to go to voicemail the caller get a busy and the screen says Not in Service. This is the only scenario where VM does not work. BCM50 users can call each other and get to VM, and they can call users at the BCM450 site and get VM. They can also call other BCM50 sites and get VM.
We have turned on BCM monitor on both ends and notice when the call tries to come back to the VM extension at the BCM450 site it just says Alerting?????? in the status display. We are at a loss to what is causing this issue. Remote packages are enabled, call routing works and VM works in all other scenarios. Could this be a release issue since the BCM50 sites are all R1?
I have the latest system patch on the 450.
