We have a customer that has all IP phones. He is using Nortel switches and has setup 2 VLAN's, one for data and one for voice. When the BCM is on the voice VLAN it will ping the phones but not the gateway. The gateway has been verified. You also cannot ping the BCM from the gateway. The IT tech onsite believes that this is because the BCM is not tagging the packets on its own interface. I know the phones tag the packets. Any thoughts on this?
