Hey Guys,

I have a BCM450 with intermittent MWI issues.

Back in July espl bulletins had the following patch in testing
PATCH ID: BCM450.R600.VOICEMAIL-81 Category: GEN

This was released for BCM50 R6 in SU13. However, not for BCM450.

Does anyone know why SU13 was not released for BCM450 ? They are usually in sync.

Had the same issue. You want Voicemail-81. This fixed the issue our customer was having. I don't see it on the Avaya patch site. You will have to create a case and get it straight from the blue team at Avaya.

I didn't know that it got released, as I have been monitoring espl for it. I have seen it on the espl weekly bulletins since July but then it just disappeared and no patch posted to espl. But it was for the BCM50. Very annoying to be honest.

I will have to shout at Avaya I suppose.

I found this in the read me of system patch 12.

Software update BCM450.R600.VOICEMAIL-62
----------------------------------------
1. The Message Waiting Indicator (MWI)does not display intermittently
This improper behavior is caused due to delay in execution of semaphore
requests issued by voicemail to kernel. This update will correct the issue.

Yeah, that one was introduced in SU9.

Ironic, that they were experiencing the same issue back then and SU9 resolved it. Now it's back. Not a happy customer at all.

I had the same issue you are having. You need to contact Avaya and get Voicemail-81. That fixed my issue. This was supposed to be fixed in a previous patch but it has come back. Voicemail-81 fixes it.

Released September 13 in System Update 14

This now contains the patch for voicemail MWI issue. No need to contact Avaya to request it anymore.

Got that in espl bulletin alright.

Thanks for the heads up :)

I've put it in for a customer that was having this problem Monday; problem came back, AGAIN. Geez those guys since they've moved on to Avaya are sloppy; they should go work for the dev team of EA Madden.

Should mention though, it's BCM50r6... which is basically the same thing
