I wanted to know the best way to test my config/DTM module to make sure the problem is not on my end. I just got 2 new PRI circuits installed. The d-channels are staying in a deactivated state, but the b-channels are showing idle.

I know how to test on a CS1000, but the BCM process is new to me. Should I just put a loopback plug in the DTM module or use the trunk module metrics area to do a loopback. If the later, which loopback option do I choose in my scenario?

I am also verifying with the carrier that the signaling and framing are correct.

I usually test it with a loopback adapter on my DTM card and if all 3 leds comes up solid green i know i'm good on my side.
Make sure they really configured 1 D-Channel per Pri's so no backup D-channel on Bcm like you see on CS1000.

Are both Pri's fully provisionned on your end?

What protocol are they using?

THanks, I will do that on the next go around. Turns out the carrier was full of you know what whem they said the T1s were ready. They were still in carrier fail.

I did have to change one thing that I am not sure about. For whatever reason they only provisioned 16 channels on each of the new PRIs. So under the line provisioning I unchecked the last 7 lines on each DTM. I also had to change to ascending sequential. When it was set to descending sequential, I would get a requested channel unavailable error when I tried to dial out.

It's like the BCM was still tryng to dial out channel 23, even though I didn't have it checked in the provisioning
