I just thought I'd bounce this problem off my associates on here.

The problem is that the BCM stopped taking calls from cell phones. Landline calls were fine?

I'm aware that flags can be put on PRI calls to differentiate 800 and FX calls as I've used them before to change processing of the calls, but I'm unaware of any indicators on incoming calls to show cell calls differently?

The PRI carrier said that cell phone calls were being rejected by the switch as they would not move down to subsequent channels on the PRI when hitting the top channels on the PRI? They suggested re-seating/re-booting the module or the PBX which although I'm told fixed the problem, I'm not sure if they just resolved it and re-booting was not relevant?

Can someone comment on that or would you think as I would that it was a routing issue with either the cell phone or PRI carrier before presenting the calls to the PBX?

I find it difficult that the BCM or any other phone system would reject certain types of incoming calls, unless a flag was set such as a CLID table via Auto Attendant to route the call elsewhere.

All incoming calls would arrive via the same trunks PRI or analogue etc, whether they be landline or mobile.

I guess you could look at the alarm event section in case anything odd is shown there.

A colleague of mine is suddenly having trouble with a MICS with a PRI rejecting private calls. They worked fine until today. Of course the provider blames the MICS even though nothing has been changed in programming. This seems to be a growing problem as a great number of PRI's are now being sent as SIP circuits and then converted back to PRI onsite.

Starting to long for the monopolistic days of the Bell system.
