I'm guessing that Lync uses SIP?. The BCM 50/450 release 6.0 is probably the best version for linking via SIP to other systems. The 400 had limited SIP capability.

If you upgrade your 450/500 one day to the new Nortel alumni team engineered E-MetroTel UCx450, you can surely integrate all of your existing Nortel phones with Lync. That's the only way I can think of it working at this point.
