I am having an aweful time with inbound faxes. I have a BCM450, with GASM8. All faxes to the physical machines are perfect. If i use a modem, (USRobotics), i will only get 4 of 8 pages etc. I have a 16 channel brooktrout card in a Zetafax server, so I then tried to forward that target line to a FAX DID on the fax server and get the same issue. If I send directly to my DID without forwarding it, the fax is fine. So my issue in a nutshell is with forwarding DID Fax numbers to a different outside line. Or how can I get the USR to work. Do I have a PRI issue, or a BCM450 issue? Or a GASM8 issue? When I line redirect, I eliminated the GASM8.

Your problem may be your actual Telco circuit. A Traditional T1 or PRI should hold up but many of the the newer telco circuits or T1's are actually VOIP trunks which telco uses instead to reduce costs. sometimes they forward this saving to the client and sometimes they don't. eg. One provider I know offers' T1 circuit from $299 a month but I am told not to be used for fax lines.

Just something to pay attention to.
