Guys,
I just replaced an Avaya Partner with a BCM450 and I cannot get the paging to work. I have discovered the paging system is a 70VRMS system. What are my options? I am attempting to use the paging output port on the front of the BCM. Will a trunk port work?
Thanks in Advance for your replies.

You could use any number of impedence low Z to high Z transformers. A Bogen telephone interface module TIM should also let you use the page port. Use a butt set to make sure you are getting the page out from the ksu before purchasing equipment though.

Oldestgeek- Good call, the paging port was not working correctly. Just rebooted and now receiving output from page port, as tested with butt set. Still not working through paging equipment. Looks like we will be buying some additional equipment to make work.

Here is what we have learned, so far. When the BCM450 paging port is connected to the paging amplifier, first attempt to page locks the paging port and requires the BCM450 to be rebooted to unlock.
The paging amplifier is an AIPHONE PG-100C. The manual does not indicate any specifics for the input port. On top of the box is a sticker that says "70VRMS, 40ohms". I would assume this applies to the speakers connected to it, rather than input from the phone system.
If anyone has experience with the AIPHONE connecting to the BCM please post any information pertinent to making it work with the paging port.

Thanks in advance.

We figured it out! The amplifier required two inputs from the BCM and a different dip switch configuration. We had to use the Page Relay output from teh BCM to tell the amp it was receiving a page and turn the music off, then we had to connect the page output output from the BCM into the amp for the talk path.
Thanks for all of the replies.
