My passwords for supervisor and ee_admin were working just fine until yesterday before I started the software upgrade. I had to exit from the software upgrade due to the authorization code, it didn't continue or should not made any changes, but somehow now I can't access to Unified Manager on LAN1 or LAN2. Please help me if anyone knows the trick to reset the supervisor or ee_admin passwords.

Thanks, Saruul

Use the default password.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

thanks acewarlock. that I tried already. both didn't work. any other suggestion? how to reset supervisor or ee_admin?

the 3.0 was supervisor/visor is that the one you used?

What Rls where you upgrading to?

If you exited before the Keycode, it wouldn't have changed the password.

I tried both supervisor/visor, ee_admin/PlsChgMe!.

yeah, it suppose not to make any changes, but it did. This happened before and we had to send the box to Nortel for fresh install. Nortel explained that it's because of 3.0 is too old. I'm trying to upgrade to 3.5, then to 3.7 then to 4.0.

I'm willing to reprogram the whole thing if i have to. The thing is, some of programmings are lost, so i need to make changes before business day. do u have any shortcuts to 4.0? or reseting password?

There are no shortcuts, you need to do the upgrade in order to upgrade the NT and Bios.

You could try going in though the serial port using Hyperterminal set to 9600, 8, n, 1 and then try the passwords again.

did you check the (BFT) Base Function tray for the Green Caps, if they are green, there bad, they need to be Blue.

there is a user called <ModemBackup> in the account management.

i looked at the bcm's hdd, i see there is passwd.txt file, which contains useraccounts and encryptions.

i'm not in the office right now, so i can;t see the led. will check that tomorrow morning.

do you know about VNC access? does it suppose to help this situation or not?

Sorry never used VNC, don't know if it can help. Have you tried a reboot?

Did you reset the clock on the BCM to 2006 before you started the upgrade?
