Hi,

Is it possible to network the Option 11 and BCM400?

What I'm thinking is to retain the option 11 in the main office so that I can still use the meridian phones and put the BCM400 in the other office and do the network.

The other option would be to get rid of the option 11 in the main office, install the BCM400 and put the IP phones in the other office. Is this possible?

thanks in advance!

You can network them together either over IP trunks or PRI. If using IP trunks, you'll need the appropriate hardware (media card and sig server, or VGMC with IP trunk software) and the appropriate number of ISM's for the trunks.

Hi,

thanks for the immediate response and help! I'm just wondering how many IP trunks, media card do I need? And also what do you mean by sig server and VGMC or ISM?

This is new stuff for me, I would appreciate if there's a documentation I could download on how to do this.

thanks!

How many simultaneous calls do you think you'd have over the link?

Everything depends on what you concider (Network together) to mean.

Until you can answer that question, it's impossible to answer the 1st.
