I have a user that wants to turn on LONG TONES for four ext. he wants to avoid having to do the FTR808 is programing a button with FTR808 the only way , he wants this so when they get a call from the gate phone they can open the gate . hope this makes since .

Are they using a Nortel DOC/ Doorphone to open the door? If so then you shouldn't need any long tones programmed.

AFAIK ... there is no way to have "long tones" always on.
You have to activate with a feature code.
