Hello all,

I have a problem getting a good backup on this bcmr4.0, i just upgraded from r3.7 and the backup went smooth- then i was going to get a updated backup on the r4.0 and i keep getting this error "detected handset-based administration during backup- backup abort", i have rebooted, installed patches(except for the new msc patch-says to have a good backup for that 1) any help would be so appreciative:)

Hello Shawn Burris!!

That's strange ...

Seems like one of the sets may be hung in an odd state. Assuming that all of the sets are functioning correctly and no obvious errors in logs, I think I might try a shut-down, re-seat the DSM's and power back up. I know not the best advice during business hours but I can't think of how to find the "rogue" set or whatever is hung.

Try logging in with the telset administration and if it is use it will tell which set it was. Could be a set that was in admin then unplugged while in admin which keeps it there until released.

Post if you figure it out, sounds weird.

yea i know, i did try to go back into programming with any phone and i made it in, the idea about complete shutdown and then unplug anthenol off the cards may be the way to go next, thanks guys i will keep ya posted.

thanks again

Not unplug the Apm cable, unplug the Modual from the BCM

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.
