Hello Everyone, and Happy New Year!
I've run into an issue that has me scratching my head - perhaps someone might have a suggestion?
We have Nortel T- and M-series phones on a BCM400/3.7 It has a SIP trunk over private network to Asterisk 20.5.0 box, with SIP extensions and a Digium Analog Gateway registered to it.
Calls made from any of the Nortel phones through the BCM to the Asterisk to a SIP extension or through Digium Gateway do not hear any ringing signal.
While ringing on the far end, call status in Asterisk monitor shows trunks Ringing, but BCM Monitor only shows Dialing - then Connected, once answered - never ringing.
BCM Extension -> BCM400 -> SIP TRUNK -> ASTERISK --------------------> SIP Extension
\-> Digium Gateway -> Analog Extension
Calls in the reverse direction from SIP or Analog extensions do receive ringing signal.
Caller ID works in both directions.
I've been through all the settings on the Asterisk box, tried forcing its trunks to ring.
Cannot find anything in the BCM - nothing seems to enable ringing on the near end on calls from the BCM extensions.
Is it possibly a limitation of SipUA 36.110.0.67 - or is there something we have overlooked?
Thanks!
