we are using a BCM 400 system. all of our users are given COS password for making overseas calls. we have 2 phones in common meeting rooms and would like to disable international dialing, regardless of whether the person uses a COS password or not.

is this possible?

thanks.

The whole idea of a COS password is to override call barring assigned to an extn.
If any one use their COS password then they bypass the barring.

The only way is to not allow access to the line pool at those extns.
Or deny 00 in the filter assigned to the 2 extns.

You can build a filter to restrict the numbers that you want, in this case the overseas/international numbers and just assign those filters to the exts. This will work for sure, I do it all the time.

thanks for the tips. i'll try setting up a new filter for the 2 extn numbers and let you know how i get on. thanks

Not sure how setting up a new filter will do anything.
As snowman stated the whole idea of a COS is to override any restriction filters.

From what I understand you cannot deny a COS password on just one phone.

But wonder if snowman can expand on this:
"Or deny 00 in the filter assigned to the 2 extns."
