We have a new BCM400. I want to use some incoming lines (targetlines) as faxlines and send this lines to one ISDN DN(DN600) to Zetafax. Zetafax can send the incoming faxes to the different users by putting them in the inbox from the user or sending it in a mail to the user or printing it on a printer. Only the BCM has to give the original dialed number by the customer to Zetafax(DID). I only get the DID (600) from the ISDN DN from the Nortel. So I can't distrubuted the faxes over the company.
Does anyone have a sulution for this problem? Sorry for my Englisch. I'm living in Holland.

Hello MrMarshall,

The incoming lines are EURO-ISDN on diverent BRI-ST modules. Our ZetafaxPc has a Broutthrout ISDN-card for incoming faxes. So one BRI-ST module has a S0 port and is connected to the Brookthrout-card. Zetafax is using the DID (DDI) to transport the fax to the right user/printer/e_mailadres. There are more targetlines connected to the ISDN-DN. Every target is one of the lines Zetafax has to discover. So if I can change the DID from the ISDN-DN in the number from the incomingline or something else for each targetline then it's going to work.
Nortel has no sulution for this the say.

If you look at the telco features for the ISDN DN you have the option to set to line, name or number. It should then display the line instead of the CLI of the caller untill the the call has been answered.I am not sure how this would work on and ISDN DN but worth a try.

I tryed that and tryed that again, but if I choose for line, name or number, I only get DID '600' from the DN600.

Have you an ISDN phone or tester you could test and see if the BCM passes the line info to that.I have a feeling that they have not developed the ISDN devices CLIP.

What if you put a divert on the line to the extension?

Is it a 3.6 system?

what I mean by a divert on the line is under the target line parameter you can put a redirect on the target line just curious what sort of info you would get then.

Marshall

Hello mrmarshall,

It is a 3.7 system. My ISDN telephone isn't working well. Tomorrow a technician is comming with a ISDN-tester. Than I tell more.
