BCM400 4.0 - DN's Changing after power failure

I know this product line is aging.... (like the rest of us)

After the last several power failures (UPS dies after 2 hours), the DN's are all messed up. Luckily the client backs up the switch weekly and a restore fixes my issue.

I have applied the last available patches to the system.

Is my MSC card failing or the PECIII cards starting to fail?

Any suggestions?

Do you have extension set relocation enabled?. It might be that the hard disk is starting to show signs of failing.

Hey Firebirdscrambler,

Yes I believe that set relocation is on. I will have the client turn this off for the time being just as a test. I have another hard drive on stand-by.

It's best to leave set relocation off. Only turn it on when you want to move a phone and then turn it off again once you're finished.
