My customer currently has a BCM400 with 3.7 software and wants to upgrade to 4.0. At the same time they would like to replace their current hard drive. What software components will I require?
A keycode upgrade and CD-Roms for a start. You may have trouble obtaining them now or be forced to upgrade to a 450.
I use Acronis and have imaged a 3.7 and 4.0 onto a 20 Gig IDC dick without any problems.
The BCM is going to be killed off early next year, so I supposed it would be easier to stick with 4.0 unless you needed to use some of the newer features such as follow me etc.
I've taken a scout around today and it looks as if the keycode upgrade from 3.6/3.7 is going to be hard to obtain now?. I looked at a site in the UK and I'm unable to find any BCM upgrades.
All the best
