So for whatever reason, mid Feb one of my techs did DST updates on a bunch of BCM400 3.6 (this was before patch was reliable) - he set the "update with DST" to off, and we remotely updated time on Mar 13.
We may not be able to get back to all the sites to patch and reboot. Will I need to remotely change the time again Apr 1?
If I do the DST patch, will that mean I only have to change twice a year, or will it take care of all DST changes (until Dubya Bush changes Energy time again...)

Thanks for any advice!

DST patch will adjust the start/stop times of DST until Congress comes up with another brilliant plan to change DST.

Provided you changed the time zone to something that ignores DST, such as GMT, Indiana East, or Arizona, then they system won't change itself first week in April.

Thanks biv343. ...And so if there is no DST patch applied, will the BCM clock off the OS anyway and move 1 hr? or will it just ignore April 1 as just another ordinary day?

No DST patch and your BCM set to one of the time zones that biv343 refered to and you'll be fine. No patch and your BCM set to a time zone that utilizes Daylight Savings, be prepared to adjust the time on April 1st.
