I have a BCM200 at a remote location and it appears that the vm's to main number are going into an individual's box. How do I change the main number to go back to the general delivery mailbox? Thanks in advance.

Ace- Great. That was it. I backed down to Java 1.4 and it is much more clear now. Back to the original question- For Prime DN it shows I/C on all. When I look at the DN's, it shows the control set at DN 221. 221 is an unassigned phone, but when I am sent to 221, the general mailbox answers.

I also found out more details from a user at the site. They have 4 hunt lines and individual ext's. When someone calls the main line, it goes to x222's vm. I called the guy at 222 and had him forward me to 231 (recept). It rang 4 times and rolled to him. In CallPilot, the general vm is 231. I think that the forwarding is the problem. However, when I look at DN 231, there is no forward settings (FDN?) in the system. Is there somewhere else that I need to change? Is this something they can also set locally on the phone set? Thanks for the help.

The FDN is called CFNA on BCMs, it's under the DN of the telephone/capabilities. You want it to be the Call Pilot DN. The RCO is not system wide, but programmable per telephone. The choices are 2,3,4,6,10. Make the recpt. telephone 3, because x220 is probably 4.

You could also use the Call Pilot AA to solve this problem.

No reflection on you, this is a general observation.

This is the problem when companys don't have a regular phone person taking care of there systems. By Default 221 it the Recpt phone and company's don't understand this, so they move people around in stead of the phone. they should give the recpt 221 and 221 should be Prime on all phones and trunks and this will clear up the problem. This used to drive me crazy with the 60 BCM's I use to maintain, the office managers would move people around and they would take there phone with them, but knowone moved the cross connects so everything gets screwed up.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Ace- No offense taken, trust me. I know what you mean. I worked for a company prior to this one with 125 locations. The moving around issue was a nightmare. I had to deal with mostly Options instead of BCM's, but had the same headaches. However, I did not know about the 221 needing to be the reception phone. That is very helpful. So it seems that the best solution is to move x221 to the receptionist and change the AA ext to 221. This makes sense as to why when I called and went to 221, I actually got the Gen mailbox. This may be user confusion, but the receptionist there said that this was working correctly as of a little while ago, then it started fowarding to 222. I am not sure how true this is. This is a small remote site in Maryland and I can't physically see what is going on there.

221 doesn't have to be the Recpt, but it is by default when the systen is first installed. check all the trunks to make sure they are set to 221 PRIME and all the phones should also be set to 221 PRIME.
