BCM1000e Max capacity 2

Hi, I have a BCM1000 with a BCM1000e expansion unit and need to know how many nore digital extensions I can add. BCM1000 has 1 ISDN30 in/out and 2 x DSM32+. Expansion chassis has 3 x DSM32+ and 3 spare slots. Question is, can I put 2 more DSM32+ cards and get another 64 digital extensions plus 1 x ISDN30 to increase my in/out capacity ?

no you can't. each dsm32+ takes 1 ds30 bus of which you have only 6. i don't know what you mean by isdn30 in/out but it sounds like a dti which takes 1 ds30 bus. the system is maxed out ds30 bus wise but you can add ip phones with the appropriate keycodes.

Many thanks jdavid99, btw, the isdn30 is a dti. fyi, we've maxed out on the 50 IP phone limit too!
Do you know if there's a possibility to add another 1000e unit ?

You might want to add another bcm and network them together

yes you can add another box and tie them together with ip trunks. you would have to have a good cdp and you would want to add mspeciii's to beef up ip resources.
