Hello,

I'm wondering if any of the experts can help with this strange issue.

On a BCM running 3.6, Line 001 shows the wrong trunk type in the trunk/line data screen of unified manager.

Lines 001 - 060 should all show VoIP as their trunk type, but for some strange reason Line 001 shows up as loop instead.

This is not good because after enabling any H323 trunks, it is always one short under the enabled VoIP lines.

For example, if I configure to use 8 H323 trunks, only lines 002 through 008 will be available under the enabled VoIP lines section leaving only 7 usable trunks.

I've searched and found nothing about this issue/bug. Does anyone know if there's a patch to correct this?

Unfortunately hardware upgrading is not an option due to cost. Other then the above issue, this BCM works well and does what's required.

Although we are the registered owners of the BCM, I'm unable to access the area of the support site to a retrieve any/all available patches or release updates.

This BCM1000 is currently at 3.6 build 2.2c with the following patches installed:

VM35302722 01/10/2004 6:32a
SIP3523267 01/10/2004 6:45a
SecurityPatch01 01/10/2004 9:54a
T38FAX 01/10/2004 10:36a

It would be nice to update to 3.7 with all the patches, but I'm not sure where to go from here.

Does Avaya even host the files for the these EOL'd BCMs?
If not, does any enthusiast/hobbyist out there know where they still might be archived?

Have you tried a cold reboot? If it doesnt work you could upgrade to 4.0 and install all the patches.Pretty cheap and at least you'll have all the latest client software.

gberger,

I tried a hard reboot and still no change.

Is there any available archive of patches for Nortel's EOL'd devices?

I really do not require a service contract for this BCM and that seems to be the only way to access both the software and security patches for this system (since I'm not a vendor). General principle would be that I shouldn't have to pay for these types of patches since they are only fixing what is already broken and not adding any new features.

It looks as if I will have to live with 7 instead of 8 VoIP trunks even though I just spent almost $900 on this keycode.

SupportDude,

Thanks for the reply.

I followed your lead, and despite considering myself a great 'googler', I couldn't come up with any search results pointing me in the right direction.

Would you recommend some search terms? Any insight is very much appreciated.

SupportDude,

Nevermind that last post, the answer is right there!
Thanks
