I have a site that would be perfect for a BCM with IP trunks. It is outside of the local calling area, so has "metro" lines now, I would have access to a Cisco Call manager in the corportate office that I could trunk off of. Has anyone had any experience trunking the two together? could you give me some direction?

Is seems to me that you would use H.323 trunks, and just pulse out, and look for digits.. A virtual tie line, if you will.

Could someone verify that for me?.. anyone experienced in such a set up?

Did it once a long time ago for a dem (BCM 2.5 to a then current Call Manager). I think we did it by having the BCM see the Call Manager as a dumb H.323 endpoint, I think we used Netmeeting as the endpoint type. I don't recall what was done on the Call Manager side, as I don't speak Cisco well.

In short, it worked, but you didn't get a whole lot of info across the link, like CPND, etc. But, it rang the phone and people could talk.

I don't exactly recall. I believe it worked, but it was around 3 years ago when I last did this. As long as the Cisco can grab a trunk and send digits, you should be fine. I'm not a Call Manager person by any stretch of the imagination.
