Is it possible to get a complete system program print? I have found that 90% of my
time is spent searching the database for
info (target lines,button info,ip parameters)
even a 3rd party solution would be worth it in time saved.
Thanks

i dont get what u r trying to do ...
u'll have to search even in a printout

Searching in a document like excel or notepad even is possible. Searching on the BCM is a manual task. I'm with Atum on this one.

is the problem with navigation or in documenting?

are u telling it is difficult to find the target line and button programming associated with a specific extension?

Senk1s,

I know I have a target line with received digits of 8643. I just dont remember which of the hundreds of target lines these received digits are mapped to. Right now, I would have to click on each one, one at a time until I found it. A paper document or spreadsheet would be a better choice, no? The question was, is there a way?

Yes there is a problem with navigating the installed data.
I had a MAC on a 3.6 to install 11 new 800#s into the call center with 11 new skillsets and install 7 new voip acd agents with vmail and access to each new skill set. Finding
unused target line numbers took longer than it should. I
have found out that Nortel sells a product called NCM which
would give the needed info from the BCM.

blotnik, doing it that way IS painful ...
go to the extension (physically or in programming) and find out what tgt line is there
less than 30 sec ...after you login

if the initial admin of the switch was done in a logical way ...it will not take any more time than searching a paper and keeping track of changes

you could log in via the telephone and use the scan command a bit quicker if you have ever programmed a Norstar. You should know how to do this.

NCM can give you a programming report. But NCM itself is not a tool that makes fun to use ;-)
