ARE YOU GUYS INSTALLING BCM's BECAUSE YOU WANT TO, HAVE TO(COMPANY CHOICE), OR BOTH? I HAVEN'T INSTALLED ANY BCM's YET, BUT HAVE A CUSTOMER WHO IS GOING TO PURCHASE ONE. I READ ALL THE TROUBLES ON THIS BOARD AND I AM A LITTLE CONCERNED. THE MICS, CICS, 8X24, 616 SEEM TO BE PRETTY SOLID PLATFORMS. WHAT IS EVERYONE'S OPINION OF THIS PRODUCT?

THANKS

Both. Want to (work for a Nortel distributor), have to (keeps food on the table). It's not a bad product. It was a little rough in the pre 2.5 days, but outside of some quirks it has been fairly stable. As it goes, you won't see many people posting in a public forum saying how great a product is, you'll always see the problems, questions and concerns. This is true for Nortel, Avaya, Mitel, so on and so forth.

Is the BCM the greatest product on earth? No. Is it a piece of junk? No. Can it provide good, stable operation when installed and maintained properly with a staff of trained users? Yes.

Just my opinions.

Does it offer value for money? Yes
Can you upgrade from a Norstar product and gain additional features? Yes
Can you get all your applications in one box?Yes
Do you want them all in one Box? Thats a good question

I would agree with everything Biv says name me a product that does everything you want.

The BCM does exactly what it says on the tin.
