Does any one know where i can obtain the documentation for the a BCM software rebuild? No one knows administrator account to get into NT and UM. Nortel have recommended a re-install.

I have searched my documentation but they only state how to configure the BCM straight from the box. I want to be able to get the BCM to the state that it's a blank system.

BCM50: Do a factory default (level 2) reset via the reset pin.
BCM200/400/1000: You'll need BCM Imaging Tool (BIT) to factory default it.

Thx for the quick reply Naurry.

I managed to located the doco for BIT. The instructions make reference to BIT CD and BCM image CD. Do these CDs come with the BCM from the factory? The BCM in question is at a remote site so I'm unable to check.

And a access code to allow the imaging to proceed. I take it that the access code is different from the keycodes and the system ID?

Hi Wonga, since the 3.6 version the BIT CD's are included in the BCM box, for the code you need to contact your local Nortel support giving them the SYSID and the code promped when you startup the system with the BIT tool (is a MAC address). When you give this infos to your local support they'll generate the code you need to rebuild the software of your BCM.

Bye
