Hey guys,

One of our BCM customers has been using the Komutel SIT software console at one of their sites, it was upgraded from the older software package 2 years ago. The customer has another site with the older version that was discontinued as well. I went to back Komutel to get that one upgraded and they sent me a quote that was almost 10 times the price of the other upgrade then when I questioned the price they told me they don't support the BCM any longer.

Is there another soft console available or are they just being difficult?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Mike

Try calling RSI but they may no longer support it as well.

Yeah, we had that experience with Komutel too.

We were using the console.net software they bought out and got a ridiculous quote to upgrade ($8,000).

Switched to this:

It's ok, far from perfect. I do not like the UI and it's way to easy to accidentally hang up the call. But the good news is it works, it was supported on BCM, and does what we need.

The core feature we need is to see the status of remote BCM system extensions which it does well. All calls are answered for branch offices by receptionist in our main office. So we need to see the status for the remote users at all times. Because of the UI issues our current receptionist usually does call control on the phone and not on the console screen. The last receptionist used the console primarily and was just careful not to click on the wrong spot and hang up the call.

Thanks for the replies curly cord and queball780, I really appreciate it.
I'm not sure what executive made that decision on pricing but, I think they will price themselves out of business, if that is how they manage sales.
