Does anyone know where the network elements are stored on the new version of element manager (61.0.1).
When I launch the BEM from the Nortel site my previous network elements ar already there so there must be somewhere on my PC that it is stored.
Thx.
Are you referring to the file in the bin, access folder? I know about that one. That has my previous elements in it. But when I open the new version of EM it only shows the previous 5.0 elements only. So where are those stored (folder name)?
Those are cartridges that get downloaded when you connect to a BCM. I am looking for the file where the Network Elements (IP addresses) for specific systems I connect to. In the current version of BEM it is stored in an .xml file as Dasheen stated. But in the new BEM version it must be stored somewhere else.
After digging a little further using gberger's advice I found the new summary.xml file.
I did as gberger explained:
They go in c:\Documents and settings\user\.bcm\BEM\bin\registry\cartridges.
Copy them over from c:\program files\nortel\...
and now when I launch the new version it contains all my Network Elements.
I also figured out that it adds a new shortcut under All Programs-Nortel.
Before I was using an old shorcut on my desktop that would launch the old version of BEM. I created a new shortcut on my desktop so that I would not have to go to Nortel's site or the BCM admin page.
Thanks All.
