Hi all,

I,ve got a bcm 400 with a dti module tieing back to the CO ...we have some serious noise on our E1 . this problem just popped up and started thorning us lately.what should we look for .....all modems on the link are ok, interface cards etc ...????

what is really happening

noise sounds like roaches walking aluminum foil paper

please help

Make sure your E1 is setup correctly, framing, signaling, protocol, and clocking. Or check with Nortel if a recall exists on your DTI mod, and most important make sure BCM is running latest patches. If you have a E1 tester do a none-intrusive testing on the span, could be a channel bank issue. Arrange a meet with your local Telco CO to fix - Good Luck!

nice description :) sounds like framing errors to me, you need to get a trend tester on the circuit..

What does roaches walking on aluminum foil paper sound like? Never had the pleasure of hearing that....lol

thanks guys, but clocking was ok , circuits were ok......fault was at CO on PDTC port...

thanks much
