We have 5 BCM's, all linked together fiber/Ethernet. A few weeks ago, I began getting this message when trying to connect to my oldest one, a BCM200. I hit the "validate device" button in Element Manager, and it came back as a BCM200, but no software version information or anything else. I can access the "webpage" link on that system.

In our system is
BCM200
BCM200
BCM400
BCM450
BCM50.

I did a hard re-boot on the system, but no luck.

Mike

What release # is the 200 in question?

3.7 and down requires Browser only

Sounds like a site visit.
If 4.0 or up then try the OAM port with laptop.

I am able to connect to it with the BCM Monitor, no problem. Element Manager is where the issue is?

The usual suspect would be no physical connection or IP is wrong or bad switch.
In this case since browser works, element manager works on other BCM's then it may mean RPM corruption.

See this thread regarding that:

It's always worth having the latest version of Element Manager installed. As you have a BCM 200 at 4.0, have you tried to see if you can connect OK via the serial port at 9600 baud?.

Do you have IP sets there? Or it is Digital/Analog only?
I ask because it maybe a hard disk issue, and remember digital sets and trunks work
without the need of hard disk as they depend on MSC.

Thanks, all. Looks like it was indeed the hard drive, I went on site and tried a hard-boot, and then it came up with only local services. Cannot even access it now by BCM Monitor, so we will be replacing the hard drive on Monday. As koulioumbis said, the local stuff works fine, (outgoing/incoming lines, local intercom, etc...) We cannot reach them from the other BCM's though.
