BCM CTM 8 not working

Hey there, I have 2 BCM 400, V 3.0 system's (different buildings, not connected) that have the same set up (1-DSM32+, 1-DSM16, 1-ASM8, 1-CTM8) and they contain the same dip switch settings. But on one of the systems I cannot see the enabled trunks when in unified manager, there just not there. The lights are on in the front of the CTM and the Tone is getting there, so I'm not sure if the card has the problem or my memory.

I'm sure you've already checked this; is the bus programmed for the CTM and not something else?

Since you have the same configuration at both sites, you could find out whether it's the module itself by trying it at the other site.

Just curious about your findings !! having the same problem here, cann't see the lines enable in UM.

I've seen this happen with CTM's and GATM's when first installed.

Ensure that in the programming that the bus is programmed to the correct module as macaodha says. You can also disable and then re enable the bus to force the BCM to see them.

If you have a spare CTM that you know works, try it in the BCM to see if maybe the module is defective.



There are only 2 seasons in Canada, Golf and Snowmobile season.
 
Under Resources, make sure you have the right Module type setup. By default BUS 2,3,4 and 5 are Trunks and 6 and 7 are stations
 
Hey there,
The problem that I had was I just didn't set up my dip switch settings correctly. Once I figured out that whole mess it showed up no problem. Everything else above this sounds very good to check out but just make sure your dips are in the right buses that you want to use.
