I have 4 analog lines which I have plugged into a breakout card on the main unit BCM 50e. I am currently recovering from a level 2 restart. Before continuing any further I would like to see all analog trunks working before I continue programming. I have 1 (ONE) specific line that will not answer no matter what trunk it is plugged into the system. I have tried switching cables and no matter what only three (the same three) are able to answer. Please help?

System shows 3 Internal enabled trunks under telephone resources. Shouldn't this be 4? I'm lost at this point. All suggestions are welcomed.

Do you have 4 Analog trunks under the keycode tab?
if so

I would try a warmstart.

It's only dialtone-VZ

Have u tested the pots line with ur buttset, to make sure its even working?

under telephone resource select it and disable then enable and restart the bcm

Active --- Int Analog Trunks 4.

Line also tested outside of system with analog buttset. Seems to work everywhere but in BCM50. I've tried switching trunks and all work fine except this specific number is a problem. The other three work fine no matter which trunk they are plugged into.

<<<<< The information I forgot to include.>>>>>

The system won't pick up and answer this line like all the others instead it rings the operator station after an attempt seems to fail. So it somehow bypasses AA and BCC as well and rings 221 after call has been terminated. Simply put I try calling this line it rings but no answer at all. I hang up and 15 or 20 secs later 221 rings ghost line. Can anyone help?

Maybe a bad breakout kit. Try putting an amphenol on and attach the line to white/green and see if that works

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

Have you tried putting that Line on the phone so you can see if it rings on the phone and also if you can access it. Lets make sure the line works before we chase what the problem is.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Breakout board ok Bad line cord. It tested ok. can make calls from analog phone but will not work in BCM50. I changed to a new cable and all is well. Thanks for all the support.

Always check the easy stuff first.
