BCM 50 with BES 50 - Port mirroring

I'm planning a solution for a small office. They want to record calls with BCM 50. A software called Callrex is able to do it using a switch that is capable many to one port mirroring. My questions are:
- Have any one tried using the BCM 50 with BES 50 to mirror many ports (10 for example) to one destination port where the call recording server is hooked?
- What are the caveats of doing so?
- What better solutions to record calls with BCM 50

BES 50 cannot mirror more than 2 ports to one. You will also potentially have an issue with overloading the mirrored port with traffic.

IP call recording solutions vary. You need to discuss with multiple vendors to find the right solution.

CallRex is based upon mirroring the port to which the BCM is connected. This will work for IP to TDM calls, but will not work for IP set to IP set calls.

Check out Panda Voice. They've worked with my company several times and have modified one of their products for MAC based IP recording on a CS1000 install (40 sets being recorded). Given that you are talking about a BCM50, they might be able to help you out.

Are you sure about "mirroring the port to which the BCM is connected" cuz as far as I understand the switch mirrors the ports connected to phones and thats why they said many to one port mirroring feature is required. Also when I talked with them they mentioned other caveats but not this one.

May be that was the case in earlier versions but it is solved now.

What do u think?
