BCM 50 with a Norstar 3x8 hanging off of it

I was told that using an ATA, I can hang a Norstar 3x8 off of a BCM 50. The local telephone line terminates on the BCM 50. I have M-series sets on both systems. I want to be able to transfer incoming calls between the two systems. How and why can't I and what limitations am I looking at experiencing, please?

You can connect the ATA to a trunk port of the BCM 50, that will be your talk path right there. Obviously the more ATA's to trunks the more calls you can create between the two.
