Hello,
new to BCM. I have an existing BCM 50 ver 1.00.2.04.j
Customer has 4 digit 2221,2222, etc) ext now wants 2 digit ext such as 21,22,etc
is it just a matter of changing it to 2 digit or does the system have to be restarted from new....don't want to try b4 is know what I need to do

Thanks

May as well restart it and program from scratch. You'll have to delete and rebuild the mailboxes anyhow. I'm guessing a system with two digit extensions doesnt have many phones on it. Which brings up my next question. I don't know if a BCM can do two digit extensions. Never ttied it personally.

I don't think it can either 3 or more. Only the compact Norstar can do 3.

thanks....the system has only 8 sets...

You can have anywhere from 2 to 7 or set to undefined so you can have a mix.
