I have a BCM 50 and currently not using AA. I want to have a greeting for when I step away from the office and a night greeting saying I'm closed.(after hours) I want to use the feature 871(manual mode). I setup 2 different greetings and also setup a lunch and night in ring groups. How do I trigger each greeting when I select them? Will it still follow the schedule in the BCM and the schedule in voicemail?

Which greeting is played is dependent on the times set in the greeting table and the business status in the VM. If you want to be able to manually which greeting is played, then you will need to use F982 or CP manager to change business from open to close. When open it will follow the times in the greeting table, when closed it will play non-business greeting. the ringing services can force the VM to answer faster, but that is all it will do.

So I can't trigger each greeting via the 871 key any time I want?

the f871 will just change the ringing of the system, making the vmail answer the lines,

the table in the vmail dictates which greeting plays at which time

eq
table 1 plays greeting 1 at 8:00am
greeting 2 at noon
greeting 3 at 1:00pm
greeting 4 at 5:00 pm

if you answer human during the normal times the vmail will not answer
press f871 ,now vmail will answer and greetings will change with the time set in table settings
