I need some advice since I have only worked on the BCM 50 R1 and have not had to deploy remote workers with VPN yet. With the R2 can I assume that I still need the contivity VPN router 1010 at the main office with the 50 and contivity 221 routers at the remote workers homes if they are using the IP telephones or is the built in contivity on the BCM 50 enough with 221's at the homes?

Any response is appreciated. Thanks.

If the BCM 50 R2 is a 50E or 50A it will have a router built in that can act as a VPN appliance. You would not need a 1010 unless you need more tunnels than the 50 can support, 10 I think.
