BCM 50 Question

Installing a new BCM 50. Customer wants to know if they can have the same extension number on a soft phone as their T7316. I don't know of any way to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Never mind. Found the same question a few pages back. HotDesking is the answer.

You should find that hotdesking is a feature only compatible with IP sets, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

You can't hot-desk between an IP set and a Digital set. Only option to get both phones to ring is to use an "Answer DN" or a "Hunt Group".

You can't use a huntgroup if you wnat the call to go to callpilot on call foward. Answer DN and / or apply the same target line to both phones is the only real answer I think. Also you can add the IP phones extn number alternate number bit in the mailbox for the digital phone and it should alert both phones.

You can use a hunt group and overflow it to voicemail
