BCM 50 Password reset

Hello everyone,

I have been scouring this site for information regarding the level 1 reset on a BCM 50, and can't seem to find any exact details regarding my problem so please forgive the redundancy.

I have tried multiple times on various bcm 50's in the past to reset a password using a level 1 reset. However, every time I do that, it purges the keycodes. I have followed the Nortel manual to the letter and can be fairly certain that it is not a level 2. Can anyone confirm that the level 1 purges the keycodes as well? I keep reading that it shouldn't. Any information would be helpful.

The manual says it does not erase keycodes BUT IT DOES..
