BCM 50 Line Problem 1

I have installed a BCM 50 everything works, however I am getting a noise on line 1 when it is selected or a call comes in on that line.I have checked the line and it works the noise just happens when it is connected to the BCM50.Does any one have an idea what could cause this problem.I have replace the Amphernol connecting the line but the problem is still happening.
 
I believe you could have one of two things going on:

- Do you have all of the current patches loaded. There were patches issued for problems on line 64 (first port on the base unit.

- How close are you to the Central Office? If you're too close, ringing current will blow out the most used line ports on the unit. There's a bulletin out on this already and the only fix is to RMA the unit - already had to do this on one of my BCM 50 installs. Nortel also sent a special Amp cable to place between the MDF and the unit to reduce the line current during ringing.
 
I alsothink it is the patches please download and install all patches and the problem will go away.
Did yuo know that system without the patches is a pain in the neck if you do not update you may end rebooting the system every other week.
