BCM 50, Forwarding to External Number

I need to forward to an external number that is long distance. Do you have to put in a pause after the number to enter the long distance code or can you just put in right after the number? If a pause is required, how would i insert it while programming on a phone vs. element manager?

I think that would depend on your carrier. Try entering Feature 78 for timed 1.5 second pause and see if it works. You should see a stopwatch in the display for each one you set.

Can your sets forward externally already?

You have to make sure that the extension has permission to call forward outside the phone system.
Allow Redirect needs to be checked off for the extension.

and you must also build a route, dest code and then forward to dest code then the number.

Also do you get second dial code before having to enter LD code?

We just tried above and works fine on an LD carrier that wants the code after number dialed.
